A Taste of the World with Coffee Man
Coffee Man, our adventurous mascot, travels the globe to seek out extraordinary beans and incredible coffee farms! At any given time, we carry coffees from 5 to 10 different countries.
Why buy coffees from around the world instead of just one?
Because coffee is so much more than a single flavor! While coffee comes from a singular plant species, its taste changes wildly depending on where it’s grown, the soil terrain, the elevation, and how it is processed. We make a conscious effort to source coffees globally so Coffee Man can be your personal guide to the boundless world of flavor.
The 3 Coffee Categories We Offer
Flagship Coffees
Our staple, year-round offerings. We source single-origin beans from consistent regions across trusted farms so the flavor profile stays steady and reliable all year long.

Coffee Knowledge Breakdown
Single Estate vs. Single Origin vs. Blend
- Single Estate: Sourced from a single specific farm or small co-op in a concentrated micro-region.
- Single Origin: Sourced from one country, bringing together beans from select regional areas.
- Blend: Coffees from different countries combined intentionally to craft specific, curated tasting profiles.
Why it matters: Coffee Man does all three! We want every consumer to find something they love and ensure every dimension of coffee is represented at Coffee Man.
Arabica vs. Robusta
These are the two main species in the coffee family tree:
- Arabica (~70% of world coffee): Discovered in Africa, known for bright, complex, and nuanced flavor profiles.
- Robusta (~30% of world coffee): Known for higher caffeine, bold smoky notes, and exceptional resilience to climate.
While many roasters ignore Robusta, we love it! While not yet offered on whole bean, one of our signature Cold Brew flavors is made with a premium Vietnamese Robusta (available in gallons and kegs).
Why Does Coffee Taste So Different?
Elevation, Soil, Processing & Our Tasting Process
Much like wine, coffee takes immense influence from its environment. Soil minerals and elevation (ranging from 2,000 to over 8,000 feet above sea level) dramatically alter bean density and natural sweetness.
Intentional Cupping & Tasting Notes:
Every lot we receive is sample-roasted and cupped by our team before moving to full production. Fun fact: sample roasts often taste vastly different than production roasts! We publish honest tasting notes to help you find your preferred cup quickly.
Tasting is wonderfully subjective: if you taste something different than our notes say, we’d love your feedback! This is core to our commitment to making coffee approachable while fueling both your curiosity and our expertise.
Relationships & Direct Sourcing
Coffee trees take years to mature. By working directly with producers and establishing relationships with our farmers, we can establish higher quality beans and consistent cups year after year, and ensure farmers are paid fairly.
Our Trip to Honduras: In October 2025, our team visited Finca Terrerito, the source of our City in the Forest Honduras coffee, to walk the fields, meet the producers, and see their honey-process operation firsthand. It’s more than just a light roast; it’s a direct connection to the people and land of Honduras.
